Osmond Chiu

Osmond Chiu is the Senior Policy and Research Officer at the Community and Public Sector Union and a Research Fellow at the Per Capita thinktank. He has worked in policy roles within the public sector and the trade union movement for over a decade.

He has spoken and written about a range of topics including the public service, privatisation, the future of work, the Chinese diaspora, social democracy, diversity in politics and multiculturalism.

He has written for Guardian Australia, Sydney Morning Herald, Canberra Times and South China Morning Post. He also wrote a contribution for the book 'What Happens Next? Reconstructing Australia after COVID-19'.

Osmond was elected to the Executive Committee in 2020.
