Member of the Executive Committee

Huw is a public policy strategist with nine years’ experience in political and advocacy campaigning across corporate, government, and not-for-profit organisations.

Huw's professional experience includes working in the trade union movement, the local government sector, and the sharing economy. His interests include youth social policy, participation in democracy and civil society, industrial relations, workers co-operatives, and the arts.

Huw completed a Bachelor of Arts with first class honours in sociology at the University of Sydney. His honours thesis explored juvenile justice policies in NSW from 1970-2010 with specific reference to the way in which government policies discursively constituted the juvenile offender as a subject of neo-liberalism, risk, and governmentality.

Huw was elected to the Evatt Executive in 2014.
