Casey Thompson

Casey Thompson is a Compliance Officer for the CFMMEU Manufacturing Division. She is responsible for overseeing the compliance audit program for the Ethical Clothing Australia (ECA) accreditation scheme across New South Wales and Queensland. She is a committee member of the Homeworkers Code Committee (Ethical Clothing Australia) and an Associate Employee Director for FIRST Super.


Casey has worked as an advisor for a Commonwealth Senator, in national campaigns and communications for the Australian Manufacturing Workers Union and in electoral material compliance, production and distribution for NSW Labor across federal and state elections.


Casey is experienced in governance and compliance matters, supply chain analysis and regulation, and has detailed knowledge of industrial relations law. She is passionate about empowering workers and expanding workers' capital, advancing the rights of women and those less privileged, building a more equal and redistributive economic system and promoting international peace and nuclear disarmament.


Casey holds a bachelor’s degree with a double major in Political Economy and Government and International Relations (BA) from the University of Sydney.
