The Margaret Whitlam Annual Dinner

The Sydney Federal Electorate Council invites you to attend its special dinner in memory of Margaret Whitlam.

The event continues annually to celebrate the contribution of strong women to public life. It is also the largest fundraising event for Tanya Plibersek’s campaign in the federal seat of Sydney.

In 2016, the FEC is excited to welcome Dr Anne Summers AO as the guest of honour. Anne is a best-selling author, journalist and thought-leader with a long career in politics, the media, business and the non-government sector in Australia, Europe and the United States. She is author of eight books, including the classic Damned Whores and God’s Police, which celebrated 40 years with a special edition published on International Women’s Day this year.

As a writer, advocate and leading voice for women in Australia, Anne Summers brings unique experience to the event.
