Rebuilding civil society in SydneyÂ
Evatt Foundation members and friends are invited to join Amanda Tattersall, the Coalition Director of the Sydney Alliance, for dinner at the home of Bruce Childs and Yola Lucire.Â
The Sydney Alliance is a dynamic new citizens' organisation that brings together over 40 unions, churches, religious and community organisations across Sydney to work for the common good. Amanda Tattersall is the Alliance's founding Coalition Director. Amanda is a good friend of the Evatt Foundation. She was the President of the National Union of Students in 1999 (NSW Branch), the co-founder of Labor for Refugees in 2011. She is a co-founder, former chair and current board member of GetUp.org.au. Amanda is also the author of Power in coalition: strategies for strong unions and social change, published by Cornell University Press and Allen & Unwin in 2010.
