Geoff Derrick

Geoff has been the NSW/ACT Secretary of the Finance Sector Union of Australia (FSU) since 1998. Geoff is also a Vice President of Unions NSW.

At the FSU Geoff's responsibilities include being a member of the National Executive and participating in strategic planning for the union. Geoff has been involved in ground breaking cases for the FSU involving occupational health and safety and workers rights in relation to working hours.

Geoff grew up in the Housing Commission estates in Mount Druitt in Sydney’s west, leaving school at 16. After doing his HSC through TAFE he later studied at Macquarie and Sydney Universities and holds qualifications in Arts and Law.

Geoff is a white ribbon ambassador supporting the move to end violence against women. He was elected to the Evatt Foundation Executive in 2009.
