The Evatt Foundation is committed to furthering the ideals of social justice, equality, participation and human rights by promoting:

• Research and discussion of public issues;
• Awareness of social, political and economic factors affecting society;
  
• Academic and applied research for unions, the labour movement and other progressive organisations;
  
• General education and vocational training;
• The means to achieve social justice, equality, participation and human rights;
  
• The development of young artists in Australia.
