No you cannot, unless we give you an explicit permission. 'Yes' is the response to which we are predisposed, but all the material on our website is original or published with permission. Unfortunately, therefore, you also must ask permission.

We will endeavour to support re-publishing that is consistent with the purpose of the Evatt Foundation, but please send an email to be given clearance.

The site's three major points of access and activity are "Latest News", "Latest Publications" and "Latest Events". Following is a brief description of each of these functions, after which there is a brief description of other features of the site and some tips on how to use it.

We only publish when we have something to say. Sometimes this might be twice a month, usually it will be less frequent than monthly. Subscribe now, it's free.

Subscribe to our free online Evatt Journal, and read the answer to the FAQ "How is the site organised?".

The most likely reason is that you are trying to access an item relating to Evatt Events, which are deleted from the site after their date is passed.

Sometimes Events are re-posted as News items if they contain newsworthy or otherwise useful information, in which case they are retrospectively posted for the month in which the Event was originally posted (not the month in which the Event occurred). If this has been the case, you will find the item by scrolling down Evatt News.

Contributions

There are no paid research positions available at the Evatt Foundation at present. While you cannot work for the Foundation, you can work with us. The Foundation often works with other people and organisations that are undertaking research or other activities that is consistent with our  Statement of Purpose. We would be happy to consider any proposal that you may wish to make.

The Foundation is supported by the voluntary efforts of many people. Contact us if you would like to help.

We welcome contributions. There are no hard and fast rules; except for one, which is that the Evatt Foundation fully reserves the right to decide what it will publish. We aim to publish on the basis of quality and relevance. We particularly encourage contributions from members of the Evatt Foundation, to whom we will always give priority. If you are considering making a contribution, you might find the following advice helpful.

Research

The Evatt Foundation, a non-profit association, undertakes research for other organisations on a fee for service basis, provided the research is consistent with our Statement of Purpose. Make an inquiry today.

The Evatt Foundation receives income from membership fees, donations, research fees, conference fees, publications, and payments for projects initiated by the Foundation. We do not receive grants from any government or other institution.

The State of the States is an annual report that was published by the Evatt Foundation for 14 years, which aimed to measure the performance of each state government and draw attention to policies at the sub-national level. The series was concluded in 2007 because the Foundation believes that its main objectives had been met: the international financial credit rating agencies have been discredited world wide, and now no Australian government would ever consider running for re-election without presenting polices that address the triple bottom line of social, economic and environmental objectives.
